Vitex has the effect of stimulating and normalizing pituitary gland function, which creates hormones in the body. Vitex restores progesterone concentration by acting on the pituatary-hyphothalamic axis rather than directly on the ovaries. 

Does not contain plant estrogen. Instead, it contains at least two forms of testosterone. 

Typically used for uterine pain, erectile dysfunction, prostatitis, and swelling of the testes.

German Commission E has approved Chaste Tree berry for irregularities in menstrual cycle, premenstrual complaints, and breast pain. 

Directions: take 4 capsules a day for at least a month to start seeing a difference during cycle. For long-term relief, it is necessary to continue taking the herb for 3-6 months after symptoms disappear.

Contraindications:

Pregnant women should not take Vitex

Vitex should not be combined with estrogen replacement therapy or with birth control pills
